PRESENTER GUIDELINES

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Contributed Papers: Oral presentations scheduled for Contributed Paper Sessions should not exceed 20 minutes (allowing for 3-5 minutes of questions).  Each meeting room will be equipped with a PC compatible laptop computer and a projector for powerpoint presentations. It is strongly encouraged that at least 2 days prior to the SWARM Annual Meeting, presenters should email a copy of their powerpoint presentation to research-colloquium@tulsa.edu, so it can be uploaded to the secured, appropriate meeting room computer in advance of the session. If this is not possible, please bring your presentation on a flashdrive and arrive to your scheduled meeting room at least 20 minutes before your session. If you are using a MAC compatible presentation please email Hope Geiger (hope-geiger@utulsa.edu).  If you have any other audiovisual needs, please contact David Nash (dtnash@gmail.com) with your specific requests.

Special Topic Symposia: Presentations occurring in Special Topic Symposia are to follow the format established by the individual symposia organizers. Please check with your symposium organizer(s) for presentation format. Each meeting room will be equipped with a laptop computer and a projector for powerpoint presentations. It is strongly encouraged that at least 2 days prior to the SWARM Annual Meeting, presenters should email a copy of their powerpoint presentation to research-colloquium@tulsa.edu, so it can be uploaded to the secured, appropriate meeting room computer in advance of the session.  If this is not possible, please bring your presentation on a flashdrive and arrive to your scheduled meeting room at least 20 minutes before your session. POSTER PRESENTATIONS*

Poster Size Specifications: Posters should not exceed 48” x 48”, unless the poster is also being presented at another meeting with other size restrictions. If there are problems with meeting these specifications, please contact Ashlee Taylor (Ashlee-taylor@ouhsc.edu) to discuss exceptions.

Posters will be hung on a carpet surface and presenters should bring their own Velcro tape. Posters must be hung at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the General Poster Session (check the preliminary program, available on this web site beginning Mar.1, 2012), for time and location of the General Poster Session.
Students who are being judged for a poster award must remain with their poster until judging is complete.

*Research involving human subjects must be IRB approved. Research involving animals must be IACUC approved. All financial support for the project and any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed on the poster.
